UPI offline payment comes in handy especially when there is no internet access or someone who use only a basic/feature phone. This method is based on UPI using USSD Code (*99#). To learn how to register and use this service please read the following instructions.

1. To set up offline UPI payments -
(a) Dial *99# on your phone (any phone, basic or smartphone) using the same phone number linked to your bank account.
(b) Choose your desired language and enter your Bank Name. You will then be shown a list of bank accounts linked to your number.
(c) Select the bank you want to use by pressing the correct option.
(d) Finally, enter the last 6 digits of your debit card and its expiry date.
2. Once you've successfully set up *99#, you can start making UPI payments, check balance, last 3 transaction details or even request money without an internet connection as follows.
(a) Dial *99# on your phone and enter 1 to send money.
(b) Choose your desired option and enter the UPI ID/phone number/bank account number of the person you want to send money to.
(c) Then, enter the amount and your UPI PIN. Once you've completed the process, your payment will be made, and the mobile screen will display the successful message. The current upper limit on this service is Rs. 5,000 per transaction.
By following these simple steps, you can easily make UPI payments even without an internet connection, giving you peace of mind, hassle free and ensuring that your transactions are never interrupted.
